Crème et Courant is a functional wall sculpture created as a site-specific installation for Batter Bar, a French pastry café in Chandigarh. Inspired by soft cubism and the gentle rhythm of patisserie craft, the piece flows across the wall like folded batter—layered, sculptural, and expressive. Composed of CNC-routed segments, the sculpture features a lilac-toned front and one side, contrasted by an olive green reverse that outlines its undulating form. The result is a work that appears to ripple with movement while maintaining its architectural precision. A central void acts as both a visual pause and a usable shelf space—bridging art and function. Designed collaboratively by Ammatti and Studio Ka.Ra, the piece transforms the wall into a surface of rhythm, shadow, and tactile presence—perfectly aligned with the café’s spirit of indulgence, elegance, and design-forward experience.
