A studio shaped by form, light, and restraint.
Ammatti is a contemporary studio working across sculptural artworks, objects, and lighting orbs. Rooted in parametric design and digital fabrication, the studio explores how geometry softens, light becomes material, and objects hold quiet presence.
The practice moves between experimentation and precision—allowing form, process, and atmosphere to remain closely intertwined.
Design as a measured act.
Ammatti approaches design slowly and deliberately. Each piece begins as a geometric study—tested, adjusted, and refined until form feels resolved rather than expressive.
The studio avoids excess, ornament for ornament’s sake, and trend-led gestures. Instead, emphasis is placed on proportion, repetition, and restraint—allowing objects to sit quietly within a space rather than dominate it.
From geometry to object.
Parametric Design
Form is developed through parametric systems that allow variation, repetition, and rhythm. This approach enables precision while remaining open to subtle change.
3D Printing
All Ammatti Objects and Lights are produced through 3D printing. Layering is treated not as a flaw, but as a visible record of making—an integral part of the object’s surface language.
Iteration
Prototypes are tested through scale, shadow, and proportion. Objects are refined until they achieve balance rather than spectacle.

Material honesty.
Ammatti works primarily with PLA-based composites selected for stability, consistency, and suitability for sculptural forms. Material choices prioritise clarity of form, controlled light interaction, and long-term durability in interior environments.
Material expression remains understated, allowing geometry and shadow to define the final presence.
Three ways of working.
One-of-a-kind or commissioned sculptural works, often architectural in scale and intent.
Design-led, collectible objects produced in small batches through 3D printing.
3 / Ammatti Orbs
Lighting fixtures conceived as luminous sculptural orbs, where light and shadow are treated as design materials.
Between art, object, and architecture.
Ammatti does not position itself as décor, industrial design, or fine art alone. The studio operates in the space between, where objects are collected rather than consumed, and lighting is experienced rather than installed.
The work is intended for homes, galleries, and spaces where calm presence matters.
Each Ammatti piece is an invitation to slow down
to notice surface, shadow, and proportion
and to live with objects that reveal themselves gradually.
